To get started, you’ll need a USB cable, a computer with the latest version of iTunes, and the relevant iOS 8.4 IPSW file for the specific device being downgraded (yes, signed iOS works too).

Before startup first step take backup your iOS device, otherwise you lost your data which is important. You cannot restore iOS 9 backup to iOS 8.

Step 1. Go to Settings app, on your iOS 9 device then iCloud > Turn off Find My iPhone. Now, turn off your iPhone by press and hold the power button. And go for next step,

Step 2. Lunch iTunes and connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to Mac or Computer using USB cable, then start immediately your iPhone by hold down Power and Home button simultaneously for 10 sec. then release the power button but continuous the holding Home button.

Step 3. You get a message in iTunes that pop up saying iPhone in recovery mode has been detected, now your device successfully in DFU Mode and your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch ready for downgrade.


Step 4. Now in iTunes, choose device under the Summary tab, then look for the Restore button.


Now, for Mac user – Click OPTION button and for Windows user – Click SHIFT button, then browse to the iOS 8 ipsw file which is already downloaded earlier.

Step 5. After the completed downgrade process your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch will reboot automatically into a latest iOS 8.3 install.

That’s it. You take old backup and restore (Contact, Mail, Message, Photos, and Videos) again.
